How long does it take for AeroGarden to grow?
Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer.
How often do you change AeroGarden water?
The water in an AeroGarden should be changed every 4-6 weeks. I usually prefer to do it at 4 weeks to keep the water fresh. It will also usually coincide with the time that I’ll need to add more liquid plant food. If you are growing herbs, it is recommended that you change the water often.
Is AeroGarden worth the money?
Yes, I would, if you understand that it’s more of a toy that produces delicious food than it is an economical farming tool. If you love the idea of growing fresh herbs, salad, or tomatoes on your windowsill, but they always die, an Aerogarden is for you.
Does AeroGarden attract bugs?
Do AeroGardens Attract Bugs? AeroGardens don’t attract bugs any more than any other plant does. The grow lights may pull some of the flies in faster, but the difference is minimal. Any indoor plant can get infested with insects.
How do I prevent mold in my AeroGarden?
If you want to prevent the mold in your aerogarden, then we recommend either reducing temperatures, moisture levels, or both.
How long do plants last in AeroGarden?
Flowers: Flower varieties typically grow for 3-4 months. Some may only last as long as 2 months. Lettuces & Greens: The average lifespan for lettuces and salad greens is about 2 months. Some may last up to 3 months.
How often should I clean my AeroGarden?
At a minimum, you should clean your AeroGarden every time you plant new pods. In addition to cleaning in between plantings, you should also replace the water every 4-6 weeks. You don’t have to do a full sanitizing like described above. Just empty the reservoir, rinse out the bowl and fill it with clean water.
Should you trim AeroGarden roots?
Trimming the roots helps the plant grow strong and healthy in your AeroGarden. You should trim your roots every 4 weeks. The first time you trim the roots should be at least 4 weeks after you planted the new seed pods. This allows the plants time to grow a stable and healthy root system.
Are AeroGarden worth it?
The bottom line
The AeroGarden Harvest is a fun indoor garden that anyone can appreciate ? it’s easy to use and being able to say you grew the herbs that you’re eating is cool. The unit isn’t cheap, but the price can be justified because you’re growing things that you would’ve bought otherwise.
How long can you keep plants in AeroGarden?
AeroGarden plants last for 3 months on average. Flowers and herbs go a little longer, and lettuce lasts a little less. Fruiting vegetables, such as tomatoes and peppers, can live up to 9 months long. Good care and a fresh hydroponic solution will help the plants live a long time.
Can you grow anything in an AeroGarden?
Yes, you can! For this purpose we offer our Grow Anything Kit, which comes with everything you need to plant and grow EXCEPT the seeds: grow baskets, grow sponges, labels, domes, liquid plant food, and a Grow Anything Kit Guide, which contains general suggestions for planting.
